Affiliate Disclosure
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
Furnishings & Home Decor participates in affiliate marketing programs, including the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program and the Amazon.ca Associates Program. When you buy something through a link on this site, we may earn a small commission. It costs you nothing extra, and it never changes the price you pay.
How we choose what we recommend
We write about small-space decorating for renters, condo owners and people working with rooms that were never generous to begin with. Products are chosen because they suit that brief — the dimensions work in a tight room, the install is renter-friendly, the price is realistic — and because they are well reviewed by people who actually bought them.
We do not claim to have personally tested every product we mention. Where we describe how something performs, we are reporting what the manufacturer specifies or what buyers consistently report, and we say so. A commission never buys a placement, and no brand pays us to be included.
If the best first step in a room is free — move the sofa, raise the curtain rod, clear the surface you keep dumping things on — we say that before we suggest buying anything.
Where you will see disclosure
Every article that contains affiliate links carries a disclosure near the top, above or beside the first recommendation, so you see it before you click anything. The same disclosure appears in the footer of every page on this site. Nothing is hidden behind a link, a tooltip or an expandable section.
Prices and availability
We do not publish prices, star ratings or stock status in our articles. Those change constantly, and a number printed here would be wrong within days. Our links say “check current price” because the retailer’s page is the only accurate source. Product prices and availability displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase are what apply to that purchase.
Safety
We flag weight limits, wall anchors, furniture anchoring and cord safety where they matter, and we point to the manufacturer’s instructions and to public safety authorities such as the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. We do not certify any product as fire-safe, electrically safe, child-safe or structurally sound — that is the manufacturer’s responsibility and, where it applies, a qualified installer’s. If you rent, check your lease before drilling, painting or fixing anything, and use damage-free alternatives where we suggest them.
Questions
If anything here is unclear, or you want to know why a particular product appears in a guide, write to us through the contact page and we will tell you.
